When Ken, Simon and Sam met up to agree the final edits for the album we had lunch at Simon's house with Lins Honeyman, a musician and reviewer for Cross Rhythms. He's reviewed the 1978 album and interviewed us for a future article. STOP PRESS - the interview is on line now! STOP STOP PRESS - and so is Lins' review of our Live album!
We don't seem to have updated things here much recently. Just for the record (no, really) the new album is being mastered and the draft artwork has been sent off to the pressing company. Excitement! Read the details if you like.
In the mid-1970s Gordon Strachan was director of the Netherbow, the Church of Scotland Arts Centre. The Netherbow is now part of the Scottish Storytelling Centre where we had our reunion concerts in May. Gordon was an enthusiastic and nurturing supporter of the band and without him Caedmon wouldn't have been what it was and is.
Here are the four Caedmon boys at Ken's house in Weardale. Simon is strumming the guitar in the living room (Who Knows Where The Time Goes, I think); Jim is working at his laptop; Ken is making supper; and I'm musing on what's happening next.
